The objective of the lesson was to solve a problem by identifying and prioritising facts and information.

I found it worked really well and wanted to share it with others.

Each has a total of 18 square faces and 8 faces that are equilateral triangles.

This is a lesson I taught to a mixed year 3/4 class on problem solving using shape puzzles.

The questions within each booklet have been selected so that they meet the current test requirements.

This means that I have omitted questions that are no longer relevant to primary maths and I have added extra questions to ensure that the newer topics are adequately covered.
